Rising sophomore standout joins the Legette Athletics Worldwide roster as the agency continues expanding its elite collegiate talent portfolio in partnership with Flo Factory.

ATLANTA, GA — Legette Athletics Worldwide is proud to announce the official signing of Carlie Jo "CJ" Latta, guard for the San Diego State University Aztecs Women's Basketball program. The signing marks the first addition to the agency's roster of high-impact athletes.

The 5-foot-10 sophomore guard from Paul, Idaho, Latta arrived at San Diego State following a remarkable debut season at Utah State University, where she established herself as one of the most promising freshmen in the Mountain West Conference. Appearing in all 31 games with 26 starts, she averaged 9.1 points and 32.3 minutes per game, ranking third in the Mountain West in scoring among true freshmen in her inaugural collegiate season. She led the Aggies in three-pointers made (56), assists (2.3 per game), and assist-to-turnover ratio, while shooting a team-best 86.8% from the free throw line.

Latta's season-high 20-point performances in back-to-back games and her record-setting effort against Colorado State, earning Mountain West Freshman of the Week honors— signaled the arrival of a player with elite scoring instincts and exceptional floor leadership. She also ranked third all-time at Utah State with six games of 15 or more points as a freshman. Her trajectory began long before the collegiate level. At Minico High School in Rupert, Idaho, Latta became one of the most decorated prep players in state history earning three-time all-state and all-conference honors, leading her team to a district championship, and being named the Idaho 4A Player of the Year as a senior. She set the all-time Idaho 4A state tournament scoring record, averaging 31.7 points across three games in the 2023 tournament, and surpassed 2,000 career points before graduating.

Now playing for the San Diego State Aztecs, Latta brings sharpshooting range, elite playmaking, and a championship pedigree to a program with a culture she has described as the deciding factor in her transfer decision.
